BLACK RED N GREEN is a feature-length documentary analyzing togetherness among Kenyans living in Massachusetts. Inspired by the lack of a united front among Kenyans, we witness how a growing Kenyan community in Massachusetts is affected by the political turmoil in Kenya, and how over the years, politics and tribal differences have contributed to a lack of togetherness among Kenyans living miles away from the motherland.
The documentary unfolds through a series of story lines: Tribalism, Politics, Socio-economic and Cultural differences.

Zawadi has just landed into the United States for the first time in her life. She is eager and happy to meet her mom, Patricia. On their way home, Zawadi notices that Patricia is making comments about her dad, that are starting to make her uncomfortable.
When they get to Patricia’s house, Zawadi seems unimpressed by the living situation that her mom is in. She makes subtle comments and asks questions which get on Patricia’s nerve. Throughout the day, we see tensions rising between the two of them, until they each reach a breaking point.
What they do next becomes the determining factor on whether they will live together or not.
15 Years Later is a story about parent child re-connection.
